Dick DeBlieck founded Summit Management in 1991 for the purpose of helping individuals and organizations reach peak performance. Toward that end, Dick provides clients with strategic and project planning services as well as leadership development expertise.
A skilled facilitator, Dick guides executive teams through a structured process for developing long and short-term goals along with the strategies to achieve them.
As a vehicle for execution, Dick provides clients with the tools and skills to plan and execute strategic initiatives (more commonly known as programs and projects).
Finally, leveraging his years of experience in leadership development, Dick offers an array of leadership and management development programs aimed at helping clients develop leadership talent and capability.
Dick serves clients from smaller, fast-growing companies to Fortune 500 firms in industries including high-tech, health care, finance, IT, utility, retail, entertainment and manufacturing industries across North America and in Asia.
Prior to founding Summit Management, Dick served as Vice President of Management Systems, a consulting firm offering management development and strategic planning services. Earlier he was with EMS/McGraw Hill where he managed the finance and human resource functions and served as project manager and consultant to EMS’ clients.
Dick holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota with specializations in management and finance. He has served on the U of M’s School of Management strategic planning committee, has taught corporate strategy in their graduate business program and is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies.
Dick is past president of the Twin Cities chapter of the Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) and has served on a variety of national SAM committees. He is a member of Project Management Institute and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and is a recipient of the ASTD chapter award for community service.
